Thank author of this post/comment

"Success is relative," is the sarcastic line of the famous comic tandem of Porky and Choppy, or more popularly known as the PorkChop Duo.

According to them, more success means more relatives, therefore, success is relative.

But more than just a funny line, it actually speaks of the truth. It serves as a window to the real effects of becoming successful.

So really, why is that when you are just a nobody in the family, no one recognizes you as their relative. No one wants to be your cousin, your uncle, your nephew or even your brother. It's as if you have to be really successful for you to be included in their achievement-based lineage.

And when you finally achieved the success you've been dreaming of, there your relatives coming in like a meteor rain - appearing in from nowhere. People would like to associate their family with yours, claiming they are the missing link to your family tree.

It's an amazing thing, actually, how people are easily attracted to other's achievements. It's human nature to praise and adore achievers, and despise those who are not. But this trait, needless to say, is never healthy. And so it must be changed at all cost.

You can talk about... Success is Relative
