The proposed project to build a mosque at the site of the Sept. 11, 2001 attack of the twin towers of the World Trade Center was met with different reactions.

Muslims around the world were shocked, and angered, when the news of an American priest planning to burn the Qur'an on the 9th anniversary of the deadly terrorist attack.

The Muslim response was even more frightening. A religious rally in Western Asia and the Middle East loudly chanted "Death to Catholics!". And although the Muslim bible burning was suspended, many Muslims believe the damage had already been committed.

This religious tension has brought uneasiness to Muslim and Catholic relations around the world. It's been 9 years since the bloody attack, but it seems no one has moved on an inch.

This crisis in religion must be stopped. This is posing a serious threat to the stability of general peacefulness of the world. Both parties must come to terms of agreement, at least their religious leaders.

If this will not be resolved, not a Muslim or a Catholic can comfortably walk in the streets without the fear of someone stabbing them to death.
